This week, U.S. Wheat Associates takes a group of quality assurance and production managers from several Japanese flour mills for a crop quality tour including farm and market visits hosted by Montana Wheat and Barley Committee, and a visit to the Wheat Marketing Center (WMC). This annual tour will end with a discussion on this year’s Pacific Northwest wheat crop and a tour of the WMC. With the PNW harvest wrapping up, WMC has processed over 460 samples from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington for the annual crop quality survey. Weekly reports of test results and analysis are shared with wheat industry professionals worldwide.
