At Wheat Marketing Center we provides educational courses and immersive training experiences that empower professionals across the wheat industry.

Our state-of-the-art facilities feature three separate labs equipped with analytical machines, commercial baking equipment, and pilot-scale production lines for crackers & biscuits, Asian noodles, and tortillas, WMC offers public, custom and U.S. Wheat Associates courses for in-person and virtual training. Whether you’re seeking foundational knowledge or advanced technical skills, our expert-led programs deliver practical insights you can immediately apply in your work

Courses are typically offered between November and July, led by our technical team of highly-trained professionals.  When needed, we also partner with industry experts for specific courses to assure the quality and excellence of our training.

Hands-On Learning: Our highly skilled team guides participants through the use of pilot bakery equipment and production lines, including:

  • Range of commercial mixers and fermentation cabinets
  • Specialized ovens (combi, reel, deck, tandoor, hearth)
  • Blast freezer for frozen dough applications
  • Complete bagel, cracker & cookie, noodle, and tortilla production lines

 

Comprehensive Support: Beyond equipment training, we provide guidance on research methodology, education principles, testing protocols, analysis techniques, conclusion development, and professional reporting standards.

Real-World Application: Participants work with actual wheat samples and production scenarios, ensuring that learning translates directly into workplace improvements.

Partnership Courses

U.S. Wheat Associates (USW), a market development organization with offices in key markets worldwide, partners with WMC to provide specialized technical training to international customers. USW’s mission is to “develop, maintain and expand international markets and to enhance the profitability of U.S. wheat producers and their customers.”
