This week we welcome back the Montana Wheat and Barely Commission for a second group from big sky country as well as a separate group of High school Students from Montana sponsored by Columbia Grain. Attendees will spend time at WMC learning about quality evaluation of various commercial products including noodles, crackers, bagels, cakes, and breads. The workshop will include presentations from U.S. Wheat Associates, OSU Food Innovation Center, and the Federal Grain Inspection Service. As part of the workshop the group will visit Tidewater Transportation, Columbia Export Terminal and Dave’s Killer Bread to understand where their wheat goes when it leaves the farm.
