This week we welcome a team of Korean bakery professionals for the Bakery Product Development Short Course, sponsored by US Wheat Associates. The team will be working with our technical staff on flour blends and production techniques for sponge cake, steam bread, pan bread, and hamburger buns. While here, the team will have an opportunity to tour two Portland baking icons – Grand Central Bakery and Dave’s Killer Breads – and experience the widely acclaimed pies of Apizza Scholls. We also bid farewell to Janice Cooper as she departs as Managing Director for Wheat Marketing Center. Her passion and dedication to our mission and the growers we serve is an inspiration and a legacy we will honor. Thank you, Janice.
