The PNW is in the midst of wheat harvest and so our team is receiving dozens of samples each week for processing, grading and testing. August is our busiest season for crop quality testing. Led by Assistant Operations Manager Liman Liu, the team includes Operations Manager Bon Lee, Laboratory Assistants Kin Wong, Autumn Sicard, and Andrew Choi. Over 215 samples from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington have been catalogued already. Each week the test results and data collected from Wheat Marketing Center are compiled in a weekly report and shared globally with members of the wheat industry. In addition millers and grain traders visit weekly to survey the crop progress and ask questions. This week U.S. Wheat Associates brings the Japan Zen Fun Kyo team by WMC for updates on this year’s crop.
