Technical Director Dr. Jayne Bock and Food Scientist Dr. Andrew Mense continue work this week on the U. S. Wheat Associates (USW) sponsored Rapid Visco Analyser (RVA) research for predicting soft wheat functionality in sponge cakes. The crop quality team led by Assistant Operations Manager Liman Liu continue to receive and process samples from the PNW states for week 5 in the crop quality survey. Later in the week, WMC hosts United Grain Corporation administrative staff for an educational tour, and the USW hosted Nisshin White Wheat Crop Survey Team for an update on this year’s crop.
