This week Operations Manager Liman Liu and some of the other technical team focuses their attentions on bread baking and evaluations for the Wheat Quality Council (WQC). This ongoing partnership is one example of how this organization works with Wheat Marketing Center and its continued work with hard wheats and end-product testing and evaluation. Later in the week Executive Director Mike Moran and Technical Director Dr. Jayne Bock participate in the National Wheat Yield Contest meeting to discuss quality results and future plans. The National Wheat Foundation hosts this contest annually allowing wheat growers to share and learn innovative techniques to improve wheat productivity to ensure an ample supply of quality U.S. wheat to reliably meet the needs of both domestic and international markets.
