This week technical Director Dr. Jayne Bock, and lab technician Autumn Sicard travel to Kansas for the annual Wheat Quality Council meeting. Founded in 1938, the Wheat Quality Council is a coordinated effort by breeders, growers, millers, and bakers to improve the quality of U.S. grown wheat and flour. As a collaborator, Wheat Marketing Center provides testing and evaluation of new and emerging varieties developed by public and private breeders, with the goal of ensuring that the varieties that farmers grow, meet the quality needs of customers around the world.
