Welcome to two important groups of stakeholders! Core Competency Training for 15 USW technical staff from key markets around the world begins on Monday. WMC and USW staff will present a close look at the annual Crop Quality process, explaining the national and PNW sample collection and testing processes and how new tests are added to address new challenges. The WMC technical team, including Dr. Jayne Bock, Bon Lee, Dr. Andrew Mense, and Liman Liu, will conduct several sessions linking WMC research on various end products to the training capabilities of the cracker, Asian noodle and bake lab pilot scale lines. The USW Board of Directors arrives on Tuesday for their Spring board meeting. They will host a reception for the USW team and then convene a roundtable discussion on worldwide technical issues on Wednesday. After two years of virtual meetings and courses, we are all looking forward to a return to hands-on training and face-to-face discussions.
